Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

I have bipolar disorder and i was in a past relationship of a man that was abusive. I got out of that and i married and we had a son together. My husband and i got into a agruement and he walked of with our son so i called the police and told him he pushed me so i knew i had our son. now he chagred with dv and i wanta know what to do to make this right?
