Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

Exsponge Charge

What is the process to request a conviction to be exsponged? Do I have to hire an attorney, if so, the atty I had then is no longer practicing. What type of atty should I look for? Can I hire an atty from PA for a conviction in Michigan? My conviction was a felony concealed weapons violation that the judge stated during trial i could apply for exsponge after 5 years. It's been 7 years and I live in PA now.

Thank you!

I recently completed an expungement for a Pennsylvania resident who was convicted in Michigan. You must have only a single conviction in the United states.

You don't have to travel to Michigan. a Michigan attorney can take care of the work.

Re: Exsponge Charge

It is not automatic and it is still up to the Judge. You can only have one lifetime conviction of any crime and only one count can be charged. You would need a Michigan attorney to handle this in Michigan. Contact me at www.kliszlaw.com to discuss further. Tim Klisz
