falsly accused and found not guilty

is there any way my son can recoupe money from his accusors for his attorney fees, and time lost from work, he was found not guilty on all counts

To recover for abuse of process, a plaintiff must plead and prove: (1) an "ulterior purpose;" and (2) an act in the use of process which is improper in the regular prosecution of the proceeding. There must be some corroborating act which demonstrates the ulterior purpose, but a bad motive alone will not establish abuse of process.
