Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

Personal Protection Order

About 4 months ago I got into a huge fight with my ex boyfriend that lead to me calling the police and filing a personal protection order against him. Things have improved with time and I am wondering is it at all possible to terminate the PPO and get it completely off his record??

Re: Personal Protection Order

Yes. There is a standard form you can fill out and file [Motion to Modify, Extend or Terminate Personal Protection Order (CC 379)]. You can download a PDF of it on the Personal Protection Order pages at www.prosecutingattorney.info .

Fill it out, including your explanation of why you want the PPO modified or terminated. The judge may still schedule a hearing in court on it, but might also sign the order without a hearing. Some judges are skeptical about why you're making the request (e.g., pressure/threats vs. truly changed circumstances).
