Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
I recently made a complaint to the police about being mugged, however, it was shortly after that i found out that the guys who mugged me were part of an elaborate and vindicitive practical joke of which i was the butt. I now want to withdraw my statement and pursue no further course of action. What process should i follow?

Tell the cops it was a joke - albeit a bad one. Hopefully, they'll close the case and you won't be accused of filing a false police report.
