Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

I recieved a warranty paper in the mail and called to see what the charges were for and the clerk told me it was a felony charge for a false police report i had made. i spoke with the dective and he said it would be a misdemenor and it is my 1st offence and no jail time . but he also said he would call me when the warrant was issued, and didnt.

being this is my 1st offence could the charges be reduced? and would i be recieveing jail time? i really have never been in any trouble before.

Do not speak with the detective any further and hire a criminal defense attorney immediately. Visit me at www.kliszlaw.com to discuss the details. Tim Klisz

Do not just sit on it and wait for the detective to call you back. You should turn yourself in through an attorney who knows how to do it properly. Do not talk to the police and get yourself into a hole. Hire an attorney now as these are serious charges. Also, do not wait around and wait for the police to pick you up because it doesn't look good in front of a Juge who will arraign you and set bond for your release. Doing it voluntarily shows that you are responsible and have nothing to run from.. Call attorney Dan Hajji at 248.865.4700 for help.
