Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

First time Drug Offender

My house was raided while I was on vacation. My front door was taken off the hinges and several rooms were trashed. A warrent was left on the couch indicating that they found rolling papers in my room. Now I have been placed on probation with radom drug-testing. I have never been in trouble before, what can I expect if I were to fail one of these tests.

Additionally, I feel my problem started when a friend was working on my garage. He had a run-in with one of my neighbors whom happens to be a Narcotics Officer. He was parked in front of his house and was asked to move his vehicle. My friend proceeded to agure with the Officer. When I arrived home the argument was rather heated, I intervined only to be threated by the Officer displaying his pistol and telling me that he would resolve the issue if I didn't. Well within a couple of months this occurs, seems a little suspicious to me.

Regardless, I just want my nightmare to end.

Re: First time Drug Offender

You asked what you could face if you failed a drug screen.

Before that can be answered ... what crime were you charged with? Were you convicted (by a guilty plea or a trial), or are you out on bond awaiting a trial or sentencing date?

If you've been convicted and are on probation, have you talked to your probation officer about what you might face if you fail a drug screen, or any other condition of probation?

Do you have a lawyer representing you on your criminal charge? If so, have you talked to him/her re: the ramifications of failing a drug screen?
