Licens reinstatement.

Do I have to get the State of Michigan to release my license to get one here/

If your license is revoked in Michigan, you must reinstate in that state before Minnesota will issue you a license.

From the Michigan standpoint, you do have to be reinstated here to get a valid license anywhere. I'm assuming you had at least 2 DUIs to have the license pulled. I have great success with the DAAD division here in Michigan in getting restricted licenses or having Michigan pull their revocation so you can apply in your new state.
