Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

I was in a bad car accident in may1988 i was single, lawsuit was started i married in dec 1989 my husband has taken advantage of my settlement since marriage he pays for no bills i pay them all. he has told me that he is going to get a divorce and take everything i was awarded from my accident can he do this?
