Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

What is the child support formula in Michigan?

What is the formula that is used by the courts in Michigan in determining how much child support is to be paid? Since my job is seasonal, do I have to pay child support when I am not receiving any income, but my new wife (not the mother of my kids)is working and receiving income?

A copy of the child support guidlines can be found at the Michigan Courts website, www.courts.michigan.gov, in the SCAO Publications section. Hope this helps.

They will average your income. Therefore, when you are making money, you should put money away to pay when you are not earning money. If you are in arrears, you can catch up when earning money.
