Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Need Help!!! Child support issue.

Took our daughter to Disney. Her father and I live together, not married. He had another woman in our home while we were away, been going on for 2 years. I am about to throw him out. I stopped Child support through friend of the court in 1999. They said 3 years ago they would not help me. I do get assistance from the state, Medicaid for daughter. Do I have to get a lawyer, or is prosecutor and friend of the court obligated to help? We have no lease, I would stay in home, how do I get him out, do I have to give him 30 days? He has paid no rent this month or bills since Nov. I have paid them all.

Re: Need Help!!! Child support issue.

You need lots of help because you have not taken care of your own business for many years. If the house is yours, go to the local court and get a 30 days notice to quit. Send it certified and also tack it on the door. Then, if he fails to leave, go to the local district court and file a landlord tenant action to remove him. Once you get the judgment, the bailiff will throw him out. At the same time, see a family law lawyer and file a child support action. William S. Stern
