Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Engagement Break Ups

I was engaged from December 2002 until December 2003. The wedding was scheduled for May 2004. My ex-fiance is demanding that I pay for all of the deposits that were put down on wedding plans. Do I have a legal obligation to pay for these?
