Technically, there is a state law that makes it illegal to live lasciviously with a member of the opposite sex. It doesn't address whether you have kids. With that said, the only case I know of where that law has been cited any time recently was in a case where a landlord was sued for not wanting to rent to an unmarried couple. The landlord won because of that law. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure no one actually enforces that law. Live together at your own risk.

It is not "against the law" but morality is one factor in determining custody and parenting time, and unmarried cohabitation can be an issue for the Courts. It depends on each individual factual situation, and there is no universal answer as to whether the court would approve or disapprove, and impossible to predict whether the court would find that this is a reason to change the custody arrangement.
