Family law?
My son does not know his real father. I would like to change his middle and last name. He will be 4 this July. I do not know where his father is, he left shortly after my son was born. What type of steps do I take for changing his name?

Your attorney can prepare the proper petition for the court. If you are unable to locate the father to serve him, the attorney should be able to obtain a court order for alternate service.
