father visitaion rights

my babys dad told me that if he didnt file for visitaion soon he will lose all rights how long do u think till that happends

He obviously isn't getting that advice from a lawyer, because that's not true. Parental rights can only be terminated by law, either by him giving up his rights or you petitioning to have his rights terminated.
