Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

legal aid

I just applied for legal aid 2 weeks ago only to find out that they can't take my case. I qualified for legal aid but there is only one attorney who takes cases. What does one do I can not be in pro per because this judge is prejudice against me. What can I do? or how can I find a pro bono attorney?

Re: legal aid

I may take the case for you w/o charge, however I would like to get some details first. I don't know what county you are in, or any of the facts pertaining to the divorce matter. So, before I agree in writing to anything, I would like a little background about your case. Further, our office will not pay your expenses - like filing fees - you will have to come up with that money.

Feel free to call during our office hours.

Kindest Regards, Geoff Lahn (734) 944-2269
