Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Noncustodial Parent

I am the noncustodial parent of an 9 year old boy. I am back in school as is my current wife. We are planning to move out of the state of Michigan to continue our education in another state. Can I move without the court's permission?

Re: Noncustodial Parent

Yes, but you are going to have to modify your visitation schedule to allow you to take the child out of state for visitation unless you plan to have all visitations within Michigan. Also, if you are out of state your current schedule may not be feasible (hard to say without knowing your schedule)
