Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Notice of Intent to Clsoe Estate

We received a notice of intent to close estate from the Oakland County Probate Court. I have sent numerous emails to the attorney handling this estate requesting a final accounting. He has not given us one the estate is to close in a few weeks. What can I do?

Re: Notice of Intent to Clsoe Estate

Call the attorney. Speak directly to either the attorney or his/her secretary. Tell them that you are going to file a motion to terminate his/her services, retain another attorney, and file a grievance if you have not received an adequate response in 2 days. That should get the appropriate attention. If it doesn't, then do it! John C. Talpos, Talpos & Arnold, P.C. (248) 743-6800 (http://www.Mich-Lawyer.com)
