Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Hi. My parents are getting divorced, and I'm sure that they're getting joint custody over me. Now, one area I'm concerned about is my last name. It currently is my father's last name. Now, if my main "home" is identified with my mother, does that mean my last name will become her maiden name? And if so, can I change it back to my father's last name again?

If your name was changed it would have to be a part of the divorce decree. However, that is quite unusual and unlikely to happen.

Your name will not change and will not be effected by custody. Your name cannot be change in a divorce case.
