Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Problems with my ex on following the court order.

My exhusband is telling me that I can't have the children for the next three weekends. This is not right. He left to go up north with his buddies, would not let me keep the kids for the weekend..He left them with his live in girlfriend and her two black children. I would like to know what I can do about this? My children live with me, they are 15 and 12 years old.

Re: Problems with my ex on following the court order.

You need to file a motion for an order to show cause why your ex should not be held in contempt for violating the court order.

You both need to adhere to the court order. If it is not specific as to parenting time, it needs to be so that you both know what to expect.

P.S. Maybe her two "black children" might be a good influence on your children and teach them some diversity and tolerance.
