Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan

Can I counter sue someone for mental anguish, identity theft, and money? What evidence would I need?

Also, after having an apartment with a family member, she broke the lease after finding out I wanted to move. I was just the co-tenant but even after breaking the lease, we never signed any papers stating we had to pay for rent after we moved. Is the lease still binding for me to pay the rent. She & her boyfriend took out a loan to pay off the rent. Do I owe her anything even though I didn't sign anything stating I have to pay her back?

Please this is urgent. I need an answer fast.

If you signed a lease, and didn't pay, you owe the money.

If you had an agreement (a contract = a promise) to pay back the money, then you owe the money.

If you moved out before the end of your lease, you owe the money.

Can you counter-sue? Yes. Will you win? Probably not, it doesn't sound like you have any evidence.
