Legal Question in Immigration Law in Michigan

Conditional Resident Parent

My friend's Conditional Resident card is about to expire. He obtained it through legit marriage 2 years ago and has since separated from his wife and returned to Jamaica. His daughter is still in the US (born there) and he has intentions of moving back. His wife is being difficult with the 751 application because he doesn't want to continue their marriage. Can he still get a permanent res card?

Re: Conditional Resident Parent

He'll need to get the divorce finalized *before* the condition expires then immediately apply for the removal of the condition.
