Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Michigan
My landlord has been harrassing me and threatening me over past rent. Yes, I am late but came to an arrangement on payment. Now he continues to scare me and my children, comes by in the middle of the night and sent me a text message stating the power will be shut off today and that we can do this the easy way or the hard way. Is he allowed to turn the power off?

No he cannot. That is constructive eviction and he can be sued if he does it. I'm not sure your other allegations would play much in court, but actual or constructive eviction is certainly illegal. Tim Klisz kliszlaw.com
