Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Michigan
Type your question here...If a landlord files for eviction and back rent was paid before the court date can the landlord then get an adjournment "just to see if the tenant pays the next months rent on time" or do they have to withdrawl it and then, if rent is not received on time, refile?

If the landlord is not owed any money as of the date/time of the hearing, he has no claim and cannot go forward with his case.
