during forclosure if the redemption period has not passed but the sheriff aution has. in order to get the house back do I have to pay just the back payments and all legal and banking fees. Or all the full mortgage price plus all legal and banking fees. The mortgage company purchased the house for more than I owed on it and the attorney said I had to pay 70,000 to regain possion off the house. I owed 10,000 back payments and 1,000 bank and legal fees. I was told I could get the house back for 11,000 from a realator. the redemption period is in 18 days and I need advice fast.

To redeem, one generally needs to pay the mortgage in full plus interest, fees and costs.
