Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Michigan

Sexual Harrassement/Hostile Work Environment

I recently filed sexual harrassement against another co-worker. This co-worker does reside in another office within the company in another state. When I went to h/r with the emails and content of what this man wants to do to me sexually, h/r put it off for 2 days while this person was continually contacting me. I was sick and unable to work. They spoke to him and did not write him up, and told me he is harmless even though it is his 2nd offense. There is much more to this story that I have documented for 5 days now. Please tell me what to do? 2yrs ago he was talked to about another woman.

Re: Sexual Harrassement/Hostile Work Environment

First of all, document everything, sick time, counseling, etc. and never give up the originals. Print the emails WITH complete header information. Ask your employer for full documentation of what was done, by whom and when.

Then, go down to the polce station and request a personal protection order against this person. This has nothing to do with the company, but everything to do with your safety.

If they do not respond immediately, file a complaint with the EEOC.
