Legal Question in Traffic Law in Michigan

owi first offence, refusing PBT on site,

I refused the on sire PBT then asked to take it, the officer said it was too late. In the car he said if I refused at the station THEN they would take my license away for a year and get a court order. I said, 'I already agreed to blow' and I did. Since this is my first offense do you think they will still try to take my license for a year? Should I worry about going to jail. I was told I wouldn't have to, but I've never even gotten stopped before this (I'm 26) and I don't know how any of this works. I know they'll offer a PD at my arrignment but I was thinking of getting my own because of this refusal thing. What do you think I should do?

You won't lose your license for a PBT refusal. It would be helpful to know your Data Master results (pink slip) to

answer whether you'd need a court appointed or private attorney.
