Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

my father died in 2007 and he had taken out a home equity loan which he still owed $23,000 on.

my father never filed his will in probate.

My sister and I have been paying 300 + dollars a month on this loan. Now they want us to settle to whole amount right now.

I want to work with the credit union but I don't know what to do.

My question is how do I get this credit union to work with me and sister to resolve this without having my home taken from us?

What does the mortgage say? In the end though it looks like you are going to have to probate his estate, which should stop the CU's acceleration. Call us for a free consultation 877 887 9562

I can help you. Depending upon the title to the house, it may not need to be probated and you may refinance the house to place the debt in your sister and your name. Please contact me to discuss in further detail 888-988-5297 (LAWS) or [email protected]
