Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

My father in law passed away recently, my wife is next of kin. He was living with his father who past away 2 weeks prior. My father in law's siblings have taken things from the house, and now they are trying to get us to relinquish items he gave us to protect.

Got a nastygram today telling us to relinquish an item or else within 24 hrs. A supposed contract on a bar naptkin signed by the deceased, ted nugent and jimi hendrix states the item goes to the sibling when he passes. None of it looks like his handwriting. What general direction should we pursue this?

The probate process will sort out who gets what, if anything. The sooner you start the process the better. Please contact me to discuss in dretail. Johntatone.com
