Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

I am an heir. The personal representative gave my inheritance to my father (not an heir). My father spent it QUICKLY and it's gone. Paperwork was filed to remove the personal representative, as this was not his only brainfart. It went to mediation. The mediator basically said "oh well" and nothing more will be done because there isn't anything left. "oh well" really isn't sitting well with me, and I have no way to get it from my father. My father shouldn't have been given an official estate check in his name in the first place.I got screwed. Not sure what to do or if there is anything to do. It was approx $7000 and i'm afraid there is no point in going after it.

You may pursue claims against your father for stealing and spending your money. If there was a will that allowed distribution of your share to your father and you were a minor at the time, you don't have any claim against the Personal representative.
