Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

We need a letter of authority from a court to claim ownership of the remaining 2 sites in our parents family cemetery plot which was bought and paid for many years ago. We have the original purchase and payment papers but no deed. We are the executors of the will leaving the estate to us but not specifically listing the cemetery property. How do we obtain the letter from the court? Thankyou for your help. [email protected]

You will need to open up a probate estate in Court. They will issue the Letter of Authority to the personal representative, who can then handle all estate transactions. Visit kliszlaw.com to get started. Tim Klisz
