Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

My mother left me 1/2 of her life insurance in her will. Later she changed the life insurance so that 100% goes to her spouse leaving me, the sole heir, nothing. To my knowledge there was not an updated will. She was a government employee. In a court of law, which document would supersede the other?

The insurance beneficiary form governs, not the Will. The Will governs assets of the probate estate, and since the insurance is not part of the estate, it is not affected by the Will.
