Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

trust

My dad passed away, and owed $8000 on vehicle. He was the only one on the title. He had a trust with only the house in it. Do I have to continue making payments on the loan until probate is settled? If we wait until things are settled will we owe way more on the vehicle? He has the money in checking to pay it but, no one was on that account either, so, it too is going to probate. This is all so confusing! Thank You

Re: trust

its all about proper negotiation with the leaseholder, because the entire debt can be paid from the probate estate, at a minimum. Contact me to discuss further. Www.kliszlaw.com. Tim Klisz

Re: trust

The lien remains on that car until it's settled with the lender one way or another. Giving the lender a call about it wouldn't hurt.
