Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

has my uncle cheated us

is it legal for my uncle(who is a lawyer)and is also the major beneficiary of my grandmothers will,(along with his son)as well as the executor, to have written and then signed my grandmothers will as a witness? i would also like to mention that in her death certifacate it states that she had althimers and dimentia for years. the will was written only five years ago.
