Legal Question in Workers Comp in Michigan

False Reporting

I was assigned a case nurse by the ins co. to act as liaison

between them, my doctor and myself. I found the case nurse

filing false reports on my condition. ( I have copies of a few

reports she submitted and can prove they are untrue.) The

nurse was not an employee of the ins co but was contracted

by them. Is there any course of action I can take against her

or her company for what she did?

Re: False Reporting

If you are talking about filing a misrepresentation case or defamation, you have to have damages. These are notariously difficult cases and the misrepresentation has to be something super material...not just an opinion. I have taken on difficult cases in the past and would be interested in seeing the report with a description of the misrepresentation. You can fax that info to me at 248-353-0431. There is likely an immunity preventing you from suing unless it is a very clear lie and you have major damages as a result. Bill Stern. My phone number is 248-353-9400. E mail is [email protected].
