Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Minnesota

Forgotten debts not in bankruptcy

I filed Chapter 7 earlier this year and am getting notices from collection agencies about old debts that I didn't include in the Chapter 7. Can I add these forgotten debts or am I out of luck.

Re: Forgotten debts not in bankruptcy

The best way to approach your situation is to file an amended Schedule F listing these old debts. Technically, if a debt was not listed on your paperwork it is not entitled to receive a "discharge" (bankruptcy term for eliminate). If your case has already been concluded and discharged then there are some strategies you can use. Please feel free to call me to discuss this. ph. (612) 677-0161
