Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Minnesota

Questions about bankruptcy and definition of ''household''.

The woman I live with plans to file for bankruptcy because of debt stemming from a divorce 2-3 years ago. I've been living with her officially for about eight months now. I've been paying the utilities and part of the mortgage on her house. The house is in her name, the utilities are in both our names.

Her income alone makes her qualified for Chapter 7. Both of our income together, though, surpasses that limit. When looking at household income, would mine count or just hers.

Only that amount of money that you contribute towards her living expenses on a regular basis will count as income.
