contract employee payment

I'm a contract employee with no written agreement with the employee. They've downsized eliminating my position, but refuse to pay final wages and expenses. do i have any recourse?

Re: contract employee payment

Your best option is to sue for the unpaid contract wages. If the amount is below $7,500, you may file your claim in concilaition court (small claims court).

I have a case pending just like this. You have remedies under MN Statutes which provide for penalties over and above the amount you are owed for compensation. Call or email if you wish to discuss further.
