Legal Question in Business Law in Minnesota

Copywrite and plagerism

I want to start a consultation business where I consult on business, marketing, the internet, real estate, etc.

I have accumulated a multitude of resources on these subjects and want to get paid as a consultant to teach others what I have learned.

I do not want to break any copywrite laws but also want to somehow get paid to share the information and resources that i have paid for and learned from. A lot of the material I have learned from is copywrited.

Can I rewrite the information and resources that I have recieved but list where the original source came from?

Can I create my own product or book using the strategies I have learned from these resources?

I know I cannot just re-sell the infor but want to find a way to use it in my consultation business. Thak you for your help.

Re: Copywrite and plagerism

It all depends on HOW you utilize the copyrighted materials. Obviously people WANT their stuff used and read but in some cases they want to be CREDITED, and other cases they want to be COMPENSATED.

You need to get you legal advice NOW before you get into HOT WATER. Spend some time at the US copyright website and email or call me for legal representation.
