Re: misdemeanors

A rose is a rose is a rose. Similarly, a misdemeanor is a misdemeanor.

There are some criminal offenses which are called "enhanced" offense, where the underlying prohibited conduct is identical, and the only thing increasing the severity of the offense of the fact of a prior similar offense. An example would by Felony DWI.

Also, when it comes to sentencing some misdemeanors can result in "points" for purposes of criminal history score. In that way, multiple misdmeanors could be said to equate to a felony prior.

So -- it really depends upon what the question is. Your question is not specific enough.
