Legal Question in DUI Law in Minnesota

I have a no contact order. I want it dropped, I went to court in front of the judge told himit was a hasty desicion and I am not in fear of my life, both attorneys stated they did not object. The judge still refuses to drop it for another 9 weeks,. It has been on alrerady for 4 weeks HELP!

That is not unusual. When allegations of Domestic Abuse occur, the recantation rate is extremely high. As a result, Judges often doubt the assertions of those seeking to have no contact orders dismissed and include a longer cooling off period so that hey may rethink their decision. This is based on the cycles of violence set out in theories related to Battered Women's Syndrome.

You will have to have the matter readdressed when the matter returns to court at the end of 9 weeks.
