Not able to pay restitution off for DUI

I have 1,300$ left to pay off on my restitution stemming from a DUI in apr 2006. its supposed to be paid off by oct 2008. What are the chanced i can call my probation officer figure something out? i'm 7 1/2 mos. pregnant ao i have 6 weeks out of work on a brand new job comming up too,so i have no idea how i can pay..(also i live in north dakota now,not MN

Often probation is extended for another year in order for restitution to be paid. Once probation lapses, the court cannot violate you on your probation if payment is not made.
