Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

Child support

My son recently moved in with his father but I have legal custody. I let my son go live with his father with the agreement that I wouldn't pay him child support because I have two other kids that aren't his that I don't get any support/help for and after paying my rent and daycare I have $120.00 a month for utilites, good, gas, etc. Can the county take money from me if I can't make it financially as it is now? My ex is on work comp right now and makes more than I do.

Re: Child support

I am afraid that agreements related to child support that are not memorialized as a court order are not binding. As a result, the other party could seek to modify custody based on the child's integration into his household with your consent and he could also seek child support.

Child support would be based on the incomes of both parties, the parenting schedule and there would be a reduction related to yoru non-joint children.
