Is it true that Support Laws in Minnesota have changed to go off of both Parents income. And if it is true and i have rights to a reduction, is it a given that my Support will be reduced?

Re: Child Support

Yes, the child support laws were changed effective January 1, 2007. The new statute does consider the income of both parties but that does not, in an of itself, mean you qualify for a modification.

It would require a review of all circumstances including parenting time.

Re: Child Support

Minneosta's child support laws have been changed so that both parents' incomes are taken into consideration. It is not a given that your support will necessarily be reduced however. You need to bring a motion, and the court will take a number of things into consideration in deciding whether the order should be modified or not.
