Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

In my divorce, I was awarded the title for a townhome and my ex-husband was awarded a lien of $80,000. There is no mortgage on it. The terms of the lien are that it is satisfied within 180 days, or if unable to secure financing to pay off the lien, the townhome is to be placed on the market until sold. No other specifics are given.

I have complied with placing the townhome on the market since I cannot afford to repay him. Because there are other townhomes on the market that are either in foreclosure or short sales, he is saying that the market value listed is way overpriced. So, now he is taking me to court to get them to satisfy the lien.

My question is...do I have any leg to stand on? And what really concerns me is, can he force a foreclosure on the property with his divorce lien?

Please help! Thanks!

If there is no agreement on listing price and the parties cannot agree on a listing price, the resolution mayt be mediated or submitted to the court as part of a motion. A court can determine whether the price should be redusced.
