Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

My girlfriend is very concerned about her ex-husband's new wife, who she just found out about, and their children. Meaning my girlfriend and her ex's. She wants to know what legal rights the new wife has with the children as a step mom, if any.

Your question is somewhat vague. What are her concerns? A step parent plays an important role in children's lives. However, they are not a parent and do not have the same rights or obligations as a parent. THey may be listed on school and medical documents as a contact, but they should be listed as a secondary contact to the parents.
