Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

Grandparents

My daughter was arrested for selling cocaine. My husband and I were given relative foster care because my grandson was with her at the time. After 3 months my grandson was given back to mom under protective services. She was sentenced to 90 days in jail. At the CHIPS review hearing it was recommended to the judge that the CHIPS be closed and that Caleb would stay with my husband and I while she serves her jail time. After court she decided that she thought it best for grandson to live with his father's family so she moved him there before going to jail, they have both lived in our home since his birth 2 yrs ago. Now the father's (he is in prison)family will not let us have any contact with our grandson. Do we have any rights?

Custody rights may be difficult, but you would definitely want to pursue your rights to grandparent visitation. Please call me at 952-746-4111 if you would like to set up an appointment. We offer a free initial consultation.
