Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

Money and children

For a Friend, husband had to borrow money from his sister to pay for a lawyer, the wife left with the kids, she is trying to get him to pay for a lawyer. Does he have to pay. The wife took the 4 girls and is living with her mom, step-dad, brother, and step-brother-in-law who she is having a relationship with at the moment. 9 people in a 3 bedroom home. 2 of the girls are sleeping in a front screen porch, other 2 upstairs in a room. I have heard her tell 2 of the girls she hates them. She stated to me if they ever got divorced she would keep the oldest and the youngest because she cant stand the other 2. If made a statement would that help the husband. She a has a diary that stated she wanted to be a hooker, would screw anyone that came along, didnt want to be a mom or told what to do. And literally stalking men. Can this be used in court? She says her husband is emotionaly abusive but in the diary she said nothing but he made me feel good about my self and sexuallity. Can he use this in court that she is unfit of some sort. She is only keeping the children for the money!!!! THank you very much

Re: Money and children

If your friend can establish what you say by independent evidence, he certainly should have a chance for custody. There are always two sides so have him contact counsel immediately. Dennis.
