Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

Parental rights

Hi, my Ex- girlfriend and I had children together and she has a file against me for child support. I don't mind paying because I like the fact they get money from me for whatever they need, but she is getting married in 2 months and wants me to agree to change the name of our 2 children to her new husbands last name. If I agree and he adopts them both does this break any legal child support payments I have with her? Thanks and have a good day!!

Re: Parental rights

Chainging the children's name won't end your child support obligation, but adoption can.
