Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Minnesota

landlords tree fell on car the other day due to it was partially dead there was no wind or anything it just fell out of the blue. Landlord claims his insurance won't cover it. The car was parked in the driveway of the rental unit legally. The car itself doe not have insurance on it. What can I do is the landlord not responsible for the damages? It was his tree in his yar of the rental unit.

WHy isn't your car insured? This is why you need it.

You can perhaps take a casualty loss. CHeck with your CPA or tax preparer.

Unless the LL was negligent, there is no liability for a tree limb falling with no warning.
